Winter Solstice Ritual

Starting my day with a little magic ✨

The Christmas portal is a powerful time for spiritual connection. Whether you are Christian, Catholic, Pagan or any other religious belief. This time of year is as powerful as it is magical.

At the root of Christmas also known as Yule, we have the winter solstice and the winter solstice is one of the eight major Sabbats on the Pagan Wheel of the year.

Yule sits in between Samhain and Imbolc and Yule is the time when mother Gaia is at her deepest rest, right before the dawn of Imbolc. And then the Wheel turns again.

As the wheel of fortune tells us in Tarot, the wheel of time never ends and then begins. The wheel of time it is always flowing and taking you along with it. Use this time to rest, celebration and reset. Honouring your own deep cycles need for rest and recuperation.

I have a three day ritual to use at this time for healing and manifesting! So let’s begin! I’ve written it in simple step formation.

1) Gather pen paper, candle, plate and salt.

2) Make your sacred circle, either a full on witch circle by calling in the elements or a simple salt circle.

3) In the middle of the circle, light your candle on the plate and write down your worst memory of the year. Explain it in full detail. If you have more than one then write them down.

4) When finished writing begin to pray. Whether you pray to God, Lilith or anything in between , you need to ask your higher force for permission to let go of the problems and throw them into the lake of fire. You can visualise this and meditate on this if you choose. This process can be as lengthy or as quick as you deem fit.

5) Burn the paper and leave the ashes on the plate.

6) Write down the best things that happened in as much detail as possible, again pray and give thanks. Try to relive these amazing moments through prayer and meditation, making sure to feel everything again.

7) Now write what you want to bring in going into 2025. DONT be generic, be specific, visualise, smile, laugh, feel excited. Pray and meditate on this.

8) Once finished fold the paper towards you then turn the paper clock wise, then fold the paper towards you again, turn the paper clock clockwise and fold the paper towards yourself again.

9) Give your final prayer of gratitude and close out your circle.

10) Give the paper to nature, whether you bury it, burn it and scatter the ashes, give to the sea. You choose the method that resonates with you the best. It may be you want to keep the paper in a sacred space. Remember it’s your Ritual so you have to make it unique to you. Like wise you can get creative with making your circle, you can put on music and light intense, dress your candle with oils and flowers.

Merry Christmas, Happy Yuletide and Winter Solstice Blessings 🪵 🔥 🎄🪵🔥🎄🪵🔥🎄✨✨✨
